Worcestershire U 18 Squad

County bow out of ESFA National Cup
Two goals in the 90th and 94th minute by West Midlands put Worcestershire out of this years ESFA U 18 National Cup last evening at a very wet AFC Wulfrunians ground in Wolverhampton.  In dificult conditions the county matched the opposition for much of the game but due to injury and late withdrawals Worcestershire only had twelve players available and the lack of fresh legs to replace very tired ones made life dificult for manager Danny Janes.  West Mids were able to call on a full squad and this proved to be the diference between the two teams.  Worcestershire can be proud of their performance though and will look for revenge when they meet West Mids again, this time at home in the Midland Counties League.  Worcestershire's goals were scored by Ben Hill (Arrow Vale) and Kamran Sharaz (Trinity).but the two late goals gave the hosts a 4-2 win and they now travel to Nottinghamshire in the next round.
