Worcestershire U 18 representative squad

Disappointing night for the county
Worcestershire U 18's have only themselves to blaim for not getting the three points that would have sealed qualification to the Midland semi finals last night.  The pitch at Littleton was in excellent condition for their game against Staffordshire but slopy defending saw Worcestershire trailing 2-0 after only ten minutes play.  Worcestershire had looked the most likely to score from kick off and they worked there way back into the game with two quick goals to draw level midway through the first half.  At this point all watching would have expected the county to go on and score more but again two quickfire goals from the visitors following more poor defending left the half time score at 4-2 in favour of the visitors.  Despite dominating the second half Worcestershire could only score one goal so were bitterly disappointed with their 4-3 defeat.  This result now means that they must beat Shropshire in their final league game on March 2nd at Littleton, 7.00pm to have any chance of reaching the Midland semi finals.
